Heloise Gold Performance
Gold’s work is an exquisite mélange of gleeful humor, captivating images and finely etched movement detail, all eliciting a meditative dream state if you can stop laughing enough.
[Gold uses] metaphor, comedy, tragedy, parable and downright silliness to weave her magical spell. Decidedly out of the usual orbit, you might call her a stand-up comedienne, but then again she’s a dancer, a diva…a storyteller, a sibyl learned in the power of ritual…She was dynamic, fresh and riveting.

Saxophonist Joe McPhee, Austin Hall of Fame inductee Heloise Gold, and other Oliveros collaborators will present works that embellish acoustic traits of the Blanton. The afternoon will culminate in a massive site-specific work that fills every gallery in the museum with sound—audience participation is encouraged!
